Episode 29: The Ortega Family: The Covina Massacre. part 3 of 3.

Welcome to Episode 29: The Ortega Family: The Covina Massacre. Part 3 of 3.

Thank You guys for joining me on Part 3 of the Covina Massacre. We unpack the horrible plan that was masterminded by Bruce Pardo. I unpack the motives that lead a college educated, career driven man to commit such acts on men, women, and children. Bruce Pardo could not deal with life when the cracks of his façade started to show. Sylvia did what any mother would do when she found out her husband had an immense secret. Sylvia thought her divorce on December 18th, 2008, would be finalized and she can put this divorce behind her. Sylvia had no idea she was already dealing with a fragile man who cannot handle another loss. Bruce premeditated and carried out an act that would leave family members and the Covina community to find healing amongst each other. Join me in unpacking the rest of part 3. This case does have light at the end of the tunnel. The surviving family members support other families who go through tragedies like the ones they went through. The sources posted below were given full credit and they were essential in the running of this episode. I want us to remember the individuals who lost their lives. They are the super stars of the episode not the monster. The Ortega-Ortiz should always be remembered as a tight-knit family. They were children of Mexican immigrants. They were successful business owners, and they achieved the American dream. The survivors of that night will never forget what happened, but they also will not let a monster define how they choose to remember Christmas for years to come.
