Thank You for joining me on this episode. I unpacked the Gensis of who Paul Bernardo is. We dive into the dysfunctional Family history and a secret that hinders the family for years and one that comes out during an argument with this Mother Elizabeth. Paul comes from a wealthy family, but he is not exempt from displaying any psychopathic traits. We see an emerging pattern of abuse against women. Paul Bernardo was praying in the city of Toronto in Scarborough as the Scarborough Rapist. I also unpack how he evaded capture and was elusive because his level of attractiveness, verbose, well manner, manicured, calm, cool, collected, and cooperative nature like psychopaths is always one step ahead of investigators. We do learn the history of the fruition of DNA. The 90’s was at its infancy with DNA. They did not have all the investigative tools or the advancement of technology on their side when they collected DNA from the one, they sought for 3 years. We learn that Karla and Paul are lethal weapons together and this dynamic duo’s damage would be more to come. Tammy, her sister who trusted her, and Paul committed the most heinous crime against her. I do want to put a warning on the episode. I do not get into sexual assault details but keep in mind that we scratch the surface of sexual assault on this case. This was their MO.
